The ETY-COM headset: 1.Combines noise isolation from a high-fidelity receiver similar to the one used in ER-6 earphones that are designed for music reproduction, with a close-talking (noise-rejecting) directional microphone 2.Has exceptional sound quality because the frequency response extends beyond the typical low-fidelity telephone bandwidth 3.Provides the greatest amount of sound isolation of any cellphone headset: Noise reduction is 37 dB (averaged over octave frequencies from 125-8000 Hz) and has a calculated noise reduction rating (NRR) of 24 dB. 4.Incorporates noise-canceling microphone technology that rejects 4-11 dB more noise than other microphones at the same location, and up to 25 dB more noise rejection than booms that are not close to the mouth. 5.Is compatible with mobile phones that use a universal, 3-conductor 2.5mm plug. To stay in this range, the boom should be bent so that the microphone is within 1/2 inch of the mouth; otherwise the microphone will reject the talker's voice. 3.Similar to the filters in ER-4 and ER-6 earphones, the ETY-COM has a filter that smoothes the frequency response and prevents earwax from entering the earphone. The filter is located at the end of the headset and is visible when the eartip is removed.
